Powdered Donuts
My daughter and I had planned to make these baked powdered sugar donuts at Christmas (we even bought the silicone molds!), but she had to head back to college before we got to them. I’d been wanting to try them, so once school let out (I’m a teacher), I finally made a batch — and they were SO good!
They turned out amazing and my family loved them — lots of “oooohs” and “ahhhhs” at our house. These will definitely be a repeat!

Method
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray silicone donut molds with non-stick spray and wipe evenly.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, nutmeg, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla, and oil. Add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into donut molds, filling about halfway.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let donuts cool slightly. Place powdered sugar in a ziplock bag, add a few donuts at a time, and toss gently until coated.
Notes:
- I used silicone donut molds and found 20 minutes was the perfect baking time for my oven. Your time may vary slightly depending on your mold size and oven.
