Buttermilk Caramel Syrup

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • cups sugar
  • ½ cup real butter
  • 2 Tbsp corn syrup
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Method
 

  1. In a 4-qt pan, combine buttermilk, sugar, butter, corn syrup, and baking soda.
  2. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and cook 10–15 minutes, stirring often, until golden brown.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and enjoy warm or cooled.
