Cheesy Garlic Biscuits – Fluffy, Buttery, and Addictive

Fluffy Cheesy Garlic Biscuits with melty cheddar and a buttery garlic glaze. Better than restaurant biscuits — easy to make at home!

Ingredients
  

Biscuits
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 stick cold butter or melted for easier mixing
  • ½ –1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 cup buttermilk or regular milk
Garlic Butter Topping
  • 5 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp chopped parsley

Method
 

Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Cut in Butter
  1. Using a pastry cutter or fork, cut in cold butter (or stir in melted) until the texture is sandy.
Add Cheese & Buttermilk
  1. Fold in cheddar cheese, parsley, and buttermilk until just combined. Don’t overmix.
Shape & Bake
  1. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet — rustic is perfect! Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 16–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
Brush with Garlic Butter
  1. Stir melted butter with garlic powder and parsley. Brush over warm biscuits and serve hot.
