Soft & Fluffy Dinner Rolls

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
  • ½ cup 1 stick salted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 7 cups all-purpose flour

Method
 

  1. Mix the Dough – In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Stir in melted butter, salt, sugar, egg, and flour. Mix until combined, then knead for 10 minutes until smooth.
  2. First Rise – Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 40 minutes.
  3. Shape the Rolls – Punch down the dough, shape into rolls, and place on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise until doubled again, about 30 minutes.
  4. Bake – Preheat oven to 350°F and bake rolls for 22–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Serve Warm – Brush with butter if desired and enjoy with soup, holiday meals, or any family dinner.
